Deirdre + Andrew
Last month Dee and Andrew got married in one of the most epic small weddings I have ever witnessed. These two rented out Saints of Tai Tapu, a beautiful little converted Church and chose to have the most intimate of celebrations with their nearest and dearest.
With only immediate family and their bridal party present for the ceremony, there was a lot of happy tears, wiped eyes, laughs and hugs. They were so lucky on the day as the weather was forecast to be really wet when I arrived Laura (bridesmaid and one of my previous brides!) was out on the deck with a little shower squeegee trying to get rid of the water. It worked, and just before the ceremony the sun came out and the wind hit.
It was insanely windy and super hot – I had actually flown in that morning from overseas (thanks to Tegan Clark Photography for being on Standby!!) and I was desperate to make it back in time so I was so happy to be there for all of the magic. I was stoked everything worked out perfectly and I was able to be there to document the slightly untraditional day which was the absolute perfect reflection of these two love birds. They ate pizza, sat in the garden sipping cocktails, and made lots of decisions around the day that worked perfectly in with them Also Dee had TWO dresses! AMAZING!
It was so memorable, magical and I could have spent every day with them – and the man you should have seen their honeymoon, wholey moley they tripped around South America which was as cool as their wedding (and them!)!
There was so much goodness, and I left feeling so so fulfilled. I’ll stop talking now even though there is so so much I could say.
